The Tulsa Art Center is a comprehensive art-centered educational community where some of Tulsa’s finest professionals inspire students of all skill levels and ages to achieve their creative goals.
We are a non-accredited school offering an intimate class environment, nationally recognized working artists as teachers, and a broad range of artistic mediums. Because the curriculum is not regulated, students enjoy the freedom to discover new artistic interests or hone their developing talent.
Students can choose to register each month in order to accommodate their schedules, yet they will enjoy learning continuity by participating in classes and workshops, attending lectures and enrolling in the other varied program offered. Instructors are able to give individualized instruction according to their own abilities and interests by incorporating demonstration, giving immediate feedback, and by guiding students in the study of master artists.
The ability of our students ranges from beginner to professional, so everyone can take part in our classes. Our classes offer a variety of skill levels from beginner to advanced, but we offer more than just hobby art. We teach our students how to acquire drawing skills; therefore, knowing how to draw is not necessary. In fact, beautiful works of art can be created by enlarging and tracing photographs. This opens up a brand new world to those that do not believe they have artistic talent.
